Clemyjontri Playground, Virginia, USA

At first glance, the picturesque Clemyjontri playground in Fairfax County, Virginia looks like an ordinary playground. However, parts of the park – such as swings, carousels and monkey stands (for children to climb games) – have been carefully designed to allow both physically impaired and able-bodied children to play together. Swings with backrests and wheelchair-friendly ramps have also been built so that everyone can have fun. The passage between the facilities is a colorful, non-slip surface that makes it easy for people to enter.

Some areas of the park encourage group interaction, while others are quieter, independent areas where children can play alone. In the playground, children's social and communication skills can be enhanced, and it has a dual role of learning and playing.
